I’ve seen Catchpole drive the F1 multiple times. He also drove one of the few road going 911 GT1’s ever made, the video is glorious

More often than not, when I’m putting my two year old to bed, he says “race cars” to let me know he’d like to watch a car video before I put him down for the night. This is the video we watched last night.
The F1 will always be “the one” for me.

Thanks for posting this. I love the little stories about the development of the car as well - reminds me of the little story Gordon told about an initial meeting with a couple of the BMW engine guys (one being very senior). He asked for no flywheel to which the engineer reacted quickly saying something like “that can’t be done”, to which the senior guy said, “have you ever tried ?”
